I am a healthy 25 year old male. I have been living with my gf for about a year now. We have always had a good sexual relationship. Having sex on average 3-5 times a week. With only a couple of exceptions I have never had a problem with my erections. Now over the last week I’ve been having a problem. It all starts out the same. We begin to make out and I become aroused quite easily, but as we get closer and closer to the point of insertion, my mind takes over. I begin to think that I’m gonna lose my erection, and of course when you think it, it’s gonna happen. I don’t know what to do, please help me.

I’m having it now, severely. Also, in my first sexual experience I couldnt’ get it up, but normally, especially when I wake up I am aroused.

Why is this? I’m thinking of getting tested by a urologist. Can it be fixed? I also have taken anxiety medication for years now.

What is the cause?

My Bf has had erectile dysfunction for six months but avoids talking about it. He does not touch me sexually in any way (although we touch in a friendly way, like hugging), and when pushed, said he would visit a doctor, but has not done so. Do I have to get used to lving without sex? I would be happy if he tried to give me satisfaction in other ways (other than penetration) but he won’t. He seems to think we’re fine as we are. Would I be wrong to think about leaving?

I’m about to start on anti-depressant medication, but have heard it causes sexual side affects? Is this common and exactly what problems does it cause? I don’t want to ge ED (erectile dysfunction) or anything like that from the medicine. Also, if you do get sexual side affects do they go away after you stop the medication. Thanks.

The man has severe trust issues, accusing and distrustful to the point of paranoia.Spouse is mildly overweight, but very attractive.
Man used meth at first, has since been sober 2 years. Both are previously divorced with children from those marriages,no children live with them. Man rarely sees his kids and has a horrible realtionship with his ex. Woman sees child regularly and has an amiacable relationship with ex.The trust issues, sexual dysfunction and his sobreity began within months of each other. They fight often, 90% of those fights centering around the husband’s doubts. The woman had a fairly normal single life, but is faithful and genuinely in love. The man’s single life was during his meth addiction and centered around sex.He has mostly been with attractive, thin women. He has severe anger control problems and says horrible things during the fights. There is no physical abuse.
He makes no effort at sex,and says its just an “ego thing” to want it from him.Is he just not attracted?

I am 19 years old. I have had more trauma in my life than i can mention. I have lived in 4 countries because of war in my own country and I have been in depression since I can remember. I suffer from anxiety, ocd, and heavy depression. People when they see me they think im a normal guy and girls always compliment my looks but i feel like the loneliest person in the world. Because of my issues i cant maintain relationships with people and i am sad all the time. I dont talk to my father at all cuz he’s a jerk and my mother drives me nuts with her paranoia. I was prescribed prozac three months ago, and i felt much better on it. It allowed me to keep my anxiety down around people and i stopped dwelling endlessly on things that were out of my control. The downside were the sexual sideffects, loss of libido at 19 is sad. I also learned about possible permanent sexual dysfunction after longterm prozac use. So ive stopped taking it for 2 months now and i am going completely insane.
I would gladly smoke weed, but I just came back here in Iowa and I don’t really have any friends to hook me up with some. I have smoked a couple times in past, made me feel really nice =)

sexual side effects. my husband is 64 and i just turned 40, up until about a year ago we had a great sex life. he has been on some kind of anti depressant since 1985. he really needs them, but lately we have noticed an inability to climax or if he does it takes sooooooooooo long to get there. He stopped the prozac 40 mgs and within two weeks our sex life was great again, but soon thereafter he became depressed and irritable, then i finally cslled his doc and got him back on prozax starting with 20mgs and our sex life was still good, but eventually the same problem occcured. then his doc put him on lexipro and added klonapin, well not only did he have a difficult time reaching orgsasm then he began to experience erectile dysfunction. having enough of no sex, he stopped the lexapro and for about two weeks we had the best sex ever, but the long half life ended and he became the most irriitable, irrational man, he was biting everyones head off. he does have a very stressful job, we both d
we began fighting over little things, arguing all the itme, he was always tired, NEVER EVEN IN TH EMOOD FOR SEX, SO THE POINT WAS DEFEATED he lost all desire, never initiated sex and when i did he had no interest, ion the rare occasion we did he could achive orgasm quickly but there was no intimacy, no emotionsa connection. i could not live like that anymore so back to the doc, noe he is back on the lexipro, still on all his other jmeds for high blood pressure, heart medication, ambien to sleep hydrocodone for pain, xanax for anxiety and now chantix -he did quit smoking. he has slowly returned to his fun pklayful self, also added provigil for narcelepsy, but we have not tried to be intimate yet, it has been two weeks. i am just so happy to have him bag, we cuddlle, we kiss we touch we talk etc. i am just wondering if there is an anti depressant out there that does not cause such serious side effects, taking into account all the other meds he has to take. any help greatly appreciated,
