This accessible study about the collusion between medical science and the drug industry emphasizes how drug companies market their products by either redefining problems as diseases (like female sexual dysfunction) or redefining a condition to encompass a greater percentage of the population. Moynihan, a health journalist for the New England Journal of Medicine and the Lancet, and Cassels, a Canadian science writer, note, for instance, that eight of the nine specialists who wrote the 2004 federal guideline on high cholesterol, which substantially increased the number of people in that category, have multiple financial ties to drug manufacturers. Physicians now routinely prescribe cholesterol-lowering pills (statins) that may have perilous side effects, when many people could lower their risk of heart attack with less costly and dangerous steps, such as exercise and improved diet. Through aggressive merchandising, funding of medical conferences and expensive perks, drug companies win doctors over to diagnosing these “diseases” and prescribing drugs for them.

Science and medicine writers Moynihan and Cassels conjecture that most Americans believe, based on information gleaned from a deluge of pharmaceutical-company advertisements, that conditions such as hypertension, high cholesterol, menopause, and chronic constipation are bona fide diseases. They quote reputable medical experts, however, who refute such understandings. What’s more, they suggest that billions of precious and diminishing health-care dollars are squandered treating those nondiseases of healthy, wealthy Americans and would be better spent treating the legitimately sick poor and fighting the international AIDS epidemic. Quoting former Merck CEO Henry Gadsen–who, in a 1976 Fortune article, confessed that “it had long been his dream to make drugs for healthy people. Because then, Merck would be able to ’sell to everyone’”–they lay the blame for the misdirected billions at the feet of just such pharmaceutical giants as Merck. She's territorial, and a protective family member. She sees the two of you as part of her litter, probly, and she wants to protect you from outsiders. It's a perfectly normal animal instinct!

Not so common in cats, as it is dogs, but it's normal. If she becomes to bothersome to company, I sugesst crating her, or putting her in a room, where she can't get out with plenty of toys or other occupations.

If you don't want to lock her up, tell your company that your cat is protective, and they should keep a distance from you and your man. Try keep the cat occupied by something else. Any form of dangling toy, or moving rodent toy, or whatever else might grab her attention.

You can try to get a clicker, and use that as a tool. Make sure she knows that she will get a treat every time she hears it, and when she isn't all over the company, click it, and give her a treat. She'll get the hang of it, and learn that she can't be on the company, or whatever she's doing. Keep her next to you, but don't let her stare at the guests. As that makes her feel dominant, and lets her think she can do it all the time.

You also might want to make sure that she knows that she isn't the boss of the house, which is a common problem among cat owners. If she thinks she's the boss, then your company is invading HER territory. Once again, she's territorial.

If you've tried everything everyone has suggested, then take her to the vet. There may be a deeper issue, then just territorial and protectiveness!

I didn’t do this for fun, I did it to shut a lot of you up in saying I’m the best player in the world or something.

I’m not saying I’m BAD, but could you all please just look at me like a normal competitive player rather than claiming me to be a super-god when I’m not? Thanks.

Since I only have 12 Pokemon to work worth - since it’s not like I actually have time to raise any new Pokemon (yet alone keep pumping out videos and updates) - I was pretty limited in the selection I’d use for this battle. Ah, how I envy you youngins that get to spend all your days training teams rather than doing things like working a job and running a site. d: So I apologize if my team seems “stale.” I just don’t believe in PokeSav’ing. Too bad it means I can never have a truly fair fight, since every opponent knows exactly what I have while I am clueless about their team. Oh well.

Anyway, I was very nervous about this fight, even from before I went into it. I know that Disfunction is a well-respected YouTube battler and I hope will show any doubters out there what a true battler is like.

I know that I made a few mistakes here, but it’s just so darn hard trying to figure out what he’s going to do. I think my biggest mess-up was thinking his Lucario was an Endure + Reversal or Sash + Reversal getting set up to sweep my team, but it was a Special-based one that I could see.

I am not aware of any such studies, and population studies have clearly shown that soy products do NOT cause ED or any other harm to male sexual function. There have been some studies suggesting that the hormones given to meat animals, however, might have such an effect. But AFAIK so far the negative effects on sexuality from the fats and other substances naturally contained in meat have not been separated out from the effects of hormones in meat. Several studies have shown much lower rates of ED in vegetarians than in those eating the typical American diet, but it is not clear whether the difference is attributable to meat itself, hormones in meat, ot some other factor such as greater potassium and fiber intake in those who eat a plant-based diet, resulting in lower rates of diabetes and other diseases. It is quite clear that being vegetarian is beneficial to sexual function, but beyond that, the causes have not been definitively sorted out.
